M r Jacob, who was a member of the Wexford senior hurling panel, appeared in a video alongside busty British blonde porn star Tanya Tate. Mr Jacob, from Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, said his decision to take part in the X-rated video Sex Tour Of Ireland did not lead to the decision to drop him from the senior panel onto the intermediate team.

It has emerged that Jacob, who togged off for Wexford intermediate hurlers in the provincial semi-final clash with neighbours Kilkenny last evening at Wexford Park, starred in three film scenes with Tate, who said he could have a porn career. Jacob, who was a member of Adult Friend Finder, a website used by people looking for no-strings sex, made no attempt to hide his taste for action, posting pictures of his face. Sports mad Jacob was a member of the Wexford senior hurling squad until his injury earlier this year. He also played rugby with Carlow and signed for Old Wesley at the end of the season. Wexford intermediate hurling manager Mr Dempsey is preparing to hand Jacob a key role in defence for the game. However, Mr Dempsey refused to comment on efforts by county officers to have Jacob omitted from the squad. County officers had claimed that the Davidstown-Courtnacuddy players had brought disgrace on the association and had brought the GAA into disrepute.
